April 21, 2026. n April 21, 2026, Armenia's Anti- Corruption Court partially granted a lawsuit filed by the Prosecutor General's Office regarding the confiscation of assets of illicit origin. According to the court's ruling, assets deemed to be of illegal origin will be seized from Ani Sargsyan, the daughter of Lyova Sargsyan and niece of Armenia's third president, Serzh Sargsyan.
According to the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office, the following assets are subject to forfeiture to the Republic of Armenia: 39,341 shares in "Areni HPP" CJSC, an electricity production company, a total deposit amount of $864,107, plus all accrued interest up until the date of the ruling's execution, a combined total of 10,200,549 AMD, plus accrued interest, along with an additional 643,357 AMD identified in the proceedings, and 4,853 EUR held in Ani Sargsyan's bank accounts.
Upon the judicial act taking legal effect, the following assets will be officially transferred to the Republic of Armenia39,341 shares of the "Areni HPP" electricity production company, $864,107 (principal deposit) plus all interest accrued until the date of execution, 4,853 EUR plus all interest accrued until the date of execution and a combined total of 10,843,906 AMD, plus all interest accrued until the date of execution.
