


ArmInfo. Armenian Ambassador to Georgia Ashot Smbatyan and French Ambassador to Georgia Olivier Courtot met with Chairman of the Tbilisi City Council Zurab Abashidze.
According to the press service of the Armenian Embassy in Georgia, the diplomats emphasized the importance of the two countries' close ties with Georgia, which also impacts cooperation with the capital, Tbilisi, and the development of historical ties and traditional friendship between the three nations.
The interlocutors expressed hope for further deepening the existing close cooperation in the future. The meeting also discussed the possibility of naming a Tbilisi street after the world-famous chansonnier, the French singer of Armenian descent with Georgian roots, Charles Aznavour. Zurab Abashidze stated that the relevant committee of the Tbilisi City Council is ready to discuss the issue raised.
