


ArmInfo. The Investigative Department of the Republic of Armenia has completed the preliminary investigation into the criminal case opened for hooliganism committed by M.M.
According to the Investigative Committee, the preliminary investigation established that on March 27, 2026, M.M. committed hooliganism near 1/1 Demirchyan Street in Yerevan. Specifically, he swore and used obscene language, demonstrated open disrespect for society, and demonstrated open contempt for moral standards.
With regard to M.M. A criminal case has been opened under Article 297, Part 2, Clause 3 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism committed using information and communications technology). As a preventive measure, administrative control and a ban on absence have been imposed on him.
The criminal case and indictment have been sent to the supervisory authority with a request to approve it and send it to court for review.
It should be noted that the incident involved Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Alen Simonyan and activist Mikael Margaryan, who engaged in a verbal altercation involving obscene language.
