


ArmInfo. An Armenian court rejected the prosecution's motions to detain two supporters of Samvel Karapetyan's Strong Armenia party, who were detained on April 17 in front of the Anti-Corruption Court. This was written by lawyer Vahan Hovhannisyan on his Facebook page.
"The court rejected the investigators' motions regarding two defendants who committed non-hooligan acts in support of Strong Armenia party leader Samvel Karapetyan in front of the Anti-Corruption Court of Armenia two days ago. The guys are already home. 48 days left," the lawyer wrote.
As a reminder, on April 17, a scuffle broke out between supporters of Strong Armenia party leader Samvel Karapetyan and police officers outside the Anti-Corruption Court of Armenia. The clashes were provoked by law enforcement. The press service of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs reported the detention of 17 citizens. Later, the press service of the Investigative Committee of Armenia announced that a criminal case had been opened against them under articles of group hooliganism and obstruction of the lawful official duties of an official. The prosecution reportedly requested house arrest for 15 of those detained, and pretrial detention for two - Vaghinak Ghazaryan, director of the Tashir pizza chain, and Mais Bagumyan.
