
ArmInfo. Book art by artist Martiros Saryan will be on display at the Mkhitarian Congregation. The corresponding agreement was reached during the visit of Alfred Kocharyan, Deputy Head of the MESCS of Armenia, to the Mkhitarian Congregation on San Lazaro Island in Venice.
As reported to ArmInfo by the press service of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports (MECS), during the visit to the Mkhitarian Congregation, the Armenian delegation toured the congregation's museum and the photo exhibition "Avetik Isahakyan and Venice," organized in collaboration with the Avetik Isahakyan House-Museum and the Mkhitarian Congregation. The ministry reported that further programs aimed at strengthening cooperation with Armenia were discussed on-site, specifically the organization of a joint exhibition in collaboration with the Martiros Saryan House-Museum and the Mekhitarist Congregation. The congregation plans to present Martiros Saryan's book art.
During the museum visit, the 350th anniversary of Mkhitar Sebastatsi's birth was also mentioned, and the congregation's role as a key center for the development of Armenology in Italy was emphasized. Particular attention was paid to the institution's significant contribution to the preservation and dissemination of Armenian culture.
During the visit, the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Education and Science also met with the leadership of Ca' Foscari University and learned about the programs implemented by the Center for Armenian Studies. An agreement was reached with the university leadership to further develop and strengthen cooperation, specifically expanding student exchange programs and organizing an exhibition at the university.
