ArmInfo. The people of Armenia have no reason to vote for three-headed political forces whose accession to power could lead to war, as stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on April 15 during a government hour in the National Assembly, in response to a question from Eduard Aghajanyan, a member of parliament from the ruling Civil Contract faction.
The MP, noting the absence of the parliamentary opposition during the Prime Minister's presentation of his report on the government's performance in 2025, noted that it was also absent from a government hour, which is the opposition's most important tool. Meanwhile, this force-the Armenia bloc led by Robert Kocharyan-has applied to participate in the elections for the second time. Aghajanyan pointed out that a force that frequently resorts to boycotts cannot truly claim power.
In response, Nikol Pashinyan noted that not only this political force, but also several other parties and blocs, would inevitably lead the country to war if they come to power. Against this backdrop, the people have every reason not to vote for these forces at all. Pashinyan recalled that, as an opposition MP for six years, he had never missed parliamentary hours in the National Assembly. "By their absence, the opposition accepts their defeat. Apparently, they are packing their bags for the country's National Assembly," the Prime Minister remarked. He added that the three main political forces of the war (the Strong Armenia Party, the Armenia bloc, and the Prosperous Armenia Party - ed.) are entirely composed of representatives of the "former".
Pashinyan ranked the second and third presidents of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan and Serzh Sargsyan as members of the Strong Armenia party, which, according to the prime minister, is evident. These same people belong to the Armenia bloc, although it is not yet known whether they will run in the elections under the same name or the bloc will undergo a name change. Some figures from these two blocs have defected to the Prosperous Armenia Party. The prime minister added that all three political forces can be characterized as a three-headed party representing the "former."
