


ArmInfo. Benjamin Haddad, Minister Delegate for European Affairs to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, visited the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex and the Armenian Genocide Museum.
According to the Museum-Institute's press service, the guests were welcomed and accompanied by Hrachya Tashyan, Acting Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute.
Benjamin Haddad laid a wreath at the memorial wall, after which the delegation members laid flowers at the Eternal Fire and observed a minute of silence to honor the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide. The delegation toured the memorial complex and the Memory Wall, behind which, in special niches, small jars are interred containing soil taken from the graves of several foreign public figures, politicians, intellectuals, and missionaries who raised their voice of protest the massacres and the Armenian Genocide committed by the Turkish government in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The guests stopped at the monuments of Anatole France and Louis Dartige du Fournet.
Then the delegation visited the Armenian Genocide Museum, where, accompanied by guide Hasmik Martirosyan, they toured the permanent and temporary exhibitions. At the end of the visit, they left a note in the Honorary Guest Book.
