Fidan: Turkey acts as proactive security and diplomacy player across  various regions, including the South Caucasus

ArmInfo.Turkey now acts as a proactive security and diplomatic actor across  various regions, including the Middle East, the South Caucasus, the Balkans, the Black Sea, and Africa. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan made this statement at the  Editors' Desk Program hosted by Anadolu Agency in Ankara.

"This applies to security issues in the Middle East, the Caucasus,  the Black Sea, and the Mediterranean, as well as to European  security, since we have a very large strategic basin belonging to  this region. The question of what will happen to European security is  important to us. European security has always been shaped under the  auspices of NATO until today," Fidan noted. He said Turkey is either  an equal player or takes on a leading role in any system that is  created, stating that this is possible thanks to the strategic  leadership and stability that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has  developed over the years.
