Voters with limited mobility can submit an application to the authorized body to be temporarily removed from the voter list at their place of registration and included in the voter list of an accessible polling station located in a convenient location. This was reported in a statement by the Migration and Citizenship Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.
According to the source, applications will be accepted after the polling stations are formed. Therefore, if they are unable to vote at their polling station, voters with limited mobility can submit an application to the authorized body no later than 12 days before election day - by 2:00 PM on May 26.
The application can be submitted electronically or on paper. If an application is submitted on behalf of a person with limited mobility, the applicant must provide a notarized power of attorney. Electronic applications submitted by persons with limited mobility due to a disability may be signed using any method acceptable to the applicant, while electronic applications submitted by other persons with limited mobility must be signed with an electronic digital signature.
Electronic applications submitted by persons with limited mobility due to a disability that are not signed with an electronic digital signature may be signed with any method acceptable to the applicant. The electronic digital signature must also be accompanied by a document confirming the person's disability, or a copy thereof.
"The list of polling stations accessible to voters with limited mobility will be published by the Central Electoral Commission of Armenia no later than 40 days prior to election day," the statement reads.
