Today Armenia faces the following situation - on the one hand, the authorities are striving to retain their power, on the other hand, the opposition supports the people, ex-Foreign Minister of Armenia Vartan Oskanian said at today's rally of three non-coalition forces of the Armenian Parliament - Armenian National Congress, Prosperous Armenia and Heritage. The rally was held in Hrazdan.
He admits that people are tired of the current situation. "But we are not going to disappoint you. We, the three political forces, have put aside our ideological discrepancies in order to take the country out of this desperate situation. This is a historic moment. I think every citizen of Armenia will feel the results of our fight", said Oskanian. To note, among those who attended the rally there were women, who were constantly trying to interrupt and disturb the oppositionists and chanting various pro-power slogans. They were holding posters "The incumbent regime is irreplaceable" and "Long live Serzh Sargsyan!"
MP from Heritage Ruben Hakobyan welcomed the women shouting out pro-power slogans and said that their presence is quite acceptable, because the opposition has always fought for freedom of expression. Afterwards, he made numerous compliments to the "pro-power" women and called those who "sent" them to the rally scoundrels and lazy-boots. "The authorities have no courage to fight the opposition and they send women to do that", Hakobyan stressed. He added that on October 10 people will launch structural reforms in the country.
For his part, Head of the Armenian National Congress Faction Levon Zurabyan said that the authorities are horror-stricken following yesterday's rally in Abovyan. "I congratulate you! This is the defeat of the authorities", he said.
To note, on October 10 the three specified forces will hold a rally in Yerevan. It is not clear yet whether the leaders of the parties - Gagik Tsarukyan, Levon Ter-Petrosyan and Raffi Hovannisian - are going to participate in the rally. >>> |
