Likelihood of military actions in Nagorno Karabakh has decreased with resumption of the negotiations for peaceful resolution of the conflict, says Gagik Haroutiunyan, the head of Noravank Scientific and Educational Foundation.

"We fight for freedom of not only the Kurdish people, but also the Armenian and other peoples and religions," claims Abdullah Ocalan, the jailed Kurdish leader.  Ocalan is currently serving life sentence on Imrali Island.  His appeal was transferred through the Justice Ministry of Turkey, local media outlets said. 

Tbilisi. The Italian Foreign Ministry has denied signing of any document with the separatist regime, InterPressNews agency reports.

On January 29, ContourGlobal and the Government of Armenia announced that they have signed an agreement for ContourGlobal to purchase and modernize the Vorotan Hydro Cascade, a series of three hydroelectric power plants totaling 405 MW on the Vorotan River in southern Armenia, for a purchase price of $180 million USD.

 The tendency of dropping child mortality and maternal mortality was fixed in Armenia  in 2013, Health Minister Derenik Dumanyan said at today's press-conference. He also added that the child mortality in the republic was 9.9 per mille, which is twofold lower of the CIS indicators.
