ArmInfo.The head of the National Assembly of Armenia, Ara Babloyan, is convinced that all political forces should discuss the issue of holding early elections  in the republic through discussion.

ArmInfo.The PACE highly appreciates the creation of a commission for the prevention of corruption, which will deal with issues of illegal enrichment and export of money from the country. This was stated by the PACE co-rapporteurs on Armenia on  May 24 at a meeting with representatives of parliamentary factions,  expressing concern over this fact.

ArmInfo. The deputy chairman of the Republican Party, head of the parliamentary commission for foreign affairs Armen Ashotyan criticized the new Prime Minister  Nikol Pashinyan and some members of his Cabinet.

ArmInfo. The Republican Party of Armenia, which has the majority of mandates in the RA National Assembly, declared itself an opposition. The deputy speaker of the  National Assembly, member of the executive body of the Republican  Party of Armenia Eduard Sharmazanov stated. 

ArmInfo.Elected to the post of Prime Minister of Armenia, opposition leader Nikol Pashinyan, like his opponents from the Republican Party, realizes the importance of  an alliance with Russia. Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS  Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots Leonid  Kalashnikov who met Pashinyan in late April, as well as with other  Armenian politicians, told Tass.  

ArmInfo.The new Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan intends, first of all, to replace the Minister of Defense. He stated this on TASS on the sidelines of the  republic's parliament at the end of voting.

Deputies of the Republican Party of Armenia Shirak Torosyan and Mihran Poghosyan disobeyed the party's decisions and voted "for" the candidacy of  Nikol Pashinyan in the elections to the prime ministers of the republic. As the sources told ArmInfo, soon the head of the RPA parliamentary faction Vahram Baghdasaryan will make a statement in which he said that these two deputies have nothing in common with the Republican Party.

ArmInfo. The Republican Party of Armenia has already decided on the elections of the Prime Minister of  the country, which are scheduled for May 8. On May 7, after the  meeting of the RPA executive body, Vice Speaker of the Armenian  Parliament Eduard Sharmazanov said in an interview with journalists.

ArmInfo.There are no signs that the May 8 elections of the Prime Minister of Armenia can fail. Nikol Pashinyan, the candidate for premieres of the RA, announced this  during his video address. At the same time, he urged citizens to gather in the Republic Square and monitor the parliament session on-line. "After the vote, I will come to the Republic Square, and then immediately begin to fulfill my duties as prime minister," he  promised.

ArmInfo.At the initiative of the Moscow Armenians, on May 8 at 11:00 in the hall of the celebrations of the Armenian Apostolic Church an action of solidarity with  compatriots in Armenia will be held. From the hall of the AAC celebrations, a live broadcast of the extraordinary meeting will be conducted.

ArmInfo. Representatives of Yelk bloc  did not discuss the issue on their participation in the personnel of  a new government, Edmon Marukyan, MP from Yelk faction stated on May  4 during the conversation with the journalists.

ArmInfo. The Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) confirmed its readiness to support the candidacy, the premier nominated by 1/3 of the deputies. This was announced in a  video message on the Facebook page by the leader of the protest movement Nikol Pashinyan following consultations in the National Assembly of Armenia.

ArmInfo.Because of the fear to lose control under economy ruling RPA till the end will confront protests and try to keep power, well-known British political expert Thomas de Waal is convinced.

ArmInfo.The Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) will not nominate its candidate at the meeting of the National Assembly on May 8 and will support the candidacy, which is  supported by a third of deputies. The leader of the parliamentary  faction of the Republican Party Vahram Baghdasaryan told journalists  about it at the end of the RPA meeting.
