ArmInfo. The Investigative Committee of Armenia detained two participants in the protest carried out by  the Tavush for the Motherland initiative and its supporters in Yerevan, who were carrying folding knives.

ArmInfo.I have never had any ambition or desire to occupy the chair of the Prime Minister of Armenia, , also because of my own principles. This was stated on May 10 at a protest rally in front of the Yerevan State Theater University by leader of the "Tavush for the Motherland" movement, primate of the Tavush diocese, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, commenting on the proposal of the former head of the Armenian Foreign  Ministry Vartan Oskanian to become a candidate for the country's prime minister.

ArmInfo.The Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) today called on the U.S. House to  immediately expel Henry Cuellar (D-TX) over his indictment for accepting nearly six hundred thousand dollars in Azerbaijani bribes. 

ArmInfo.The Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Armenia initiated two criminal proceedings  on the fact of Azerbaijan's aggression against the Republic of Armenia during the 44-day war of 2020. Another case was opened by the Investigative Committee of the Republic in connection with the forced  deportation of Artsakh residents. Head of the supervisory authority Anna Vardapetyan stated on May 3, speaking in parliament.

ArmInfo. The overwhelming majority of respondents in Armenia consider the celebrations  dedicated to May 9, the victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII), to be important, according to the results of the survey conducted by the MPG consulting company.

The country is facing an unprecedented level of disinformation and hate speech, especially over the Nagorno-Karabakh territorial dispute and the ongoing threat of war with Azerbaijan, according to the 2024 World Press Freedom Index released by Reporters Without Borders today.

ArmInfo.According to a poll conducted by the MPG company, the overwhelming majority of respondents in Armenia believe that the Armenian genocide of 1915-1923 is a tragedy, the memory of which should be enshrined in the Constitution of the country. 84.2% of respondents in Armenia were for including April 24 in Armenia's Constitution.
