ArmInfo. The first meeting of the National Assembly of the seventh convocation will take place not on December 31, as Assistant to PM of Armenia Mesrop Arakelyan  announced with joy, but on the 24th of December, if, of course, the  results of the elections are not appealed.

ArmInfo. Armenian President Armen Sarkissian on November 1 signed a decree on calling early elections to the National Assembly of Armenia. According to the decree, the National Assembly is dissolved on the basis of the requirements of articlesfull 92 and 93 of the Constitution and according to the 3rd part of the Article  149of the Constitution.

ArmInfo. At an extraordinary meeting on November 1, the National Assembly of Armenia did not elect the Prime Minister for the second time. For the only candidate in the person of Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan no one voted for, nor  was it among those who voted in and against parliament, but 13 MPs  voted abstained.

At an extraordinary meeting on October 31, the National Assembly of Armenia unanimously adopted a draft law on "Announcement of Amnesty in Criminal Cases on the 2800th Anniversary of the Establishment of Erebuni-Yerevan and  the 100th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Independence of the  First Republic of Armenia" at the first reading unanimously.

ArmInfo. The National Assembly  gave its political assessment and showed that it is not hostage to  the government. Armen Ashotyan, an MP from the Republican Party of  Armenia, said this on October 29 in an interview with journalists.

On October 22, at the extraordinary meeting of  the National Assembly, the draft did not receive the necessary number  of votes.

ArmInfo. The forthcoming amnesty should not extend to the people who committed the murder. Acting Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan told journalists today,  referring to the fact that on October 31 the National Assembly of  Armenia will discuss the draft law on amnesty.

ArmInfo. Those who promised to  come and vote in favor of amending the Electoral Code simply did not  come to a vote, and the RPA torpedoed the adoption of this bill. This  was stated by the secretary of the Yelk faction Gevorg Georgisyan at  a briefing in the National Assembly of Armenia on October 26.

ArmInfo. Armenian President Armen Sargsyan will appeal to the Constitutional Court to determine the compliance of the Constitution with the law on amending and  supplementing the law "On Parliamentary Regulations".

ArmInfo. On October 29, at 11:00am an extraordinary meeting of the Armenian parliament will be held. This is reported by the press service of the National Assembly.    In an interview with journalists, Naira Zohrabyan, a MP from the  Tsarukyan Bloc faction, said that the National Assembly at an  extraordinary meeting would discuss the draft law "On introducing  changes and amendments to the Electoral Code". She noted that 35  signatures had been collected, and this package would be handed over  to the secretariat, which means that an extraordinary meeting of the  parliament will be held on Monday.
