ArmInfo. The Armenian government initiated legislative amendments, which, on the basis of results of 3, 4 and 5 January, will be recognized as working days.   Corresponding amendments to the RA Law "On Holidays and Memorable  Dates" were approved at a government meeting on December 14.

ArmInfo.The Armenian Government will adopt a new $ 100 million loan from Russia at the upcoming meeting. The draft law on ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of Russia on granting the Government of the Republic of Armenia a state export loan", as well as the ratification of the agreement, is urgently included to the agenda of the Cabinet meeting on November 16.

ArmInfo. Yerevan intends to acquire strategic deterrence weapons from Moscow, within the framework of a new Russian defense loan of 100 million, Armenian Defense Minister Vigen Sargsyan said.

ArmInfo. Moscow will soon  supply Yerevan with a batch of weapons under the current contract,  the implementation of a new, already signed 100 million loan  agreement will begin after the completion of all interstate  agreements. This was stated by RIA Novosti Armenian President Serzh  Sargsyan.

ArmInfo. The maintenance and development of nuclear energy continues to be a strategic direction for Armenia. This was stated by the Head of the Armenian state Serzh Sargsyan on October 27 at a meeting of the Council for the Safety of Atomic Energy under the President of Armenia.

ArmInfo. The Armenian  parliament adopted the draft law "On Defense" at its meeting on  October 25 in the first reading.  Presenting the document, RA Defense  Minister Vigen Sargsyan stressed that he proceeds from the  requirements of the Constitution of the country. The bill regulates  the issues related to the activities of the armed forces and other  structures involved in peacetime and wartime in order to ensure the  security of the RA, the preparation and organization of military  charges. The powers of the leadership of the armed forces have been  clarified. In particular, the RA Prime Minister becomes the Supreme  Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces of the country.
