CSR report: Russia needs to remain only between Armenia and  Azerbaijan

ArmInfo.In the frozen Karabakh conflict, Russia needs to remain only an intermediary between Armenia and Azerbaijan. This is noted in a report published on June 29,  headed by former Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin, head of  the Center  for Strategic Research, dedicated to Russia's foreign policy and  positioning in the world for 2017-2024.

ArmInfo.Montenegro entrance to the Alliance is a message to other countries that NATO doors are open, James Appathurai, Special Representative of the NATO Secretary General in the South Caucasus and Central Asia expressed such  opinion, speaking at the round table "Armenia-NATO Cooperation:  Current Stage and Future Prospects".  On June 5 after thirty months  of signing  the Protocol of Accession, Montenegro officially became  the 29th member state of NATO. This is the first expansion of the  Alliance since April 1, 2009, when Albania and Croatia joined NATO.

ArmInfo.All the NATO allies are concerned with armament shipments volumes growth in South  Caucasus region. This was stated by James Appathurai, the special representative of NATO Secretary  General at Caucasus and Asia, during a press conference in Yerevan held on June 12, answering the  question about Russian armaments shipments to Azerbaijan. According to him, not only the armaments shipments increase, but the political tension between the sides of the conflict, too.
