One of the priorities  of the Armenian Armed Forces today is the replenishment of the Armed  Forces with modern weapons, military equipment and material and  technical means necessary for the army based on the introduction of  modern principles and systems of military command and control, as  well as the establishment of new criteria for enhancing combat  skills.  

ArmInfo.Armenian Defense Minister David Tonoyan presented the vision of the development of the army in the context of the government program, which emphasized that the development of the country's Armed Forces is among priorities  from the point of view of ensuring the security of the Republic of  Armenia and Artsakh.

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the creation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, President Serzh Sargsyan awarded over two  hundred military servicemen and freedom fighters with the highest  awards of the Republic of Armenia, medals and orders, and bestowed on  them high military ranks for the courage manifested in defending the  borders of the Fatherland, valor, boundless dedication, as well as  for their contribution to the army building and enhancement of the  battle readiness of the troops, the press office of the Armenian  President reports.
