ArmInfo. The Madrid principles and all other documents on the settlement of the Karabakh-Azerbaijani conflict are not an imperative until they are accepted by all  parties, Spokesperson of the President of Artsakh David Babayan  stated in a conversation with the correspondent of ArmInfo.

This was stated at the rally in  Kashatag by Araik Harutyunyan, the chairman of the largest  parliamentary party of Artsakh (the Nagorno Karabakh Republic) "Free  Motherland", adviser to the President of Nagorny Karabakh on special  assignments.

ArmInfo.The Madrid principles are  the dream of Armenia, by no any of means. On  September 18, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Shavarsh Kocharyan  stated that at the Sixth Pan-Armenian Forum "Armenia-Diaspora" held  in Yerevan under the motto "Mutual trust, unity and responsibility".

ArmInfo.OSCE MG co-chairs undertake active efforts to organize meetings of Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents on Nagorno-Karabakh settlement, Alexander  Iskandaryan, Caucasus Institute director stated in Yerevan during the press conference on August 28. 

ArmInfoFormer US Ambassador to Azerbaijan, former OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair Matthew Bryza is convinced that military operations in the zone of the Nagorno-  Karabakh conflict can begin if the government of Azerbaijan or Armenia makes a decision in this regard.

ArmInfo. The military solution to the Karabakh conflict is ruled out.  There is no alternative to the peace talks, French President Francois Hollande said at the official reception in honor of his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan.

ArmInfo. There is one document that is still on the table of negotiations of Karabakh settlement, approved by the two of the three sides, this is Madrid  document, Armenia's Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan stated  on November 23 at the press conference in Yerevan.

In the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process, the talks to strengthen the ceasefire and implement the arrangements made in Vienna and St. Petersburg are prioritized unlike the talks on the comprehensive settlement of the  conflict. Acting Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan told a  news conference on September 15 when commenting on any progress in  the NK peace process. In his words, it is hard to speak of any  progress until the given arrangements are implemented. 

ArmInfo.  The Madrid Principles are good for keeping the status quo, but not for achieving a comprehensive resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, says Sergey Minasyan, Deputy Head of the Caucasus Institute told reporters in Yerevan.
