ArmInfo. 70 years after the adoption of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, certain achievements in the protection of human  rights can be stated. Adama Dieng, United Nations Special Adviser on  the Prevention of Genocide, said this on December 10 at the opening  of the Global Forum "Against the Crime of Genocide" in Yerevan.

The third global forum "Against the Crime of Genocide", which has kicked off  today in Yerevan, is aimed at fighting the evil side of humanity.  This was announced on December 10 by Armenian President Armen  Sarkissian at the opening of the Forum.

Advisor to US President Donald Trump, former mayor of New York, Rudolph Giuliani considers the Armenian Genocide a historical fact.  Thus, today,  during a visit to the Tsitsernakaberd memorial complex, Trump's  adviser, answering the question of whether the administration of US  President Donald Trump should recognize the Armenian Genocide, said,  in particular, "I think this is a historical fact. But I'm in another  status, namely, with a private visit. "

ArmInfo. Rudolph Giuliani, the former mayor of New York, a cybersecurity adviser to the US president, visited the Armenian Genocide Memorial Center  Tsitsernakaberd.

"Since 1991, since the acquisition of independence of Armenia, century-old relations with Lebanon have risen to a new qualitative level, which is typical of  two friendly nations and states," the acting president said. Armenian  Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on October 20 during a meeting with  Lebanese President Michel Aoun.

ArmInfo.Canada, which officially recognized the Armenian Genocide, will continue to seek international recognition of the genocide, since it is by recognizing  the past that a consensus can be achieved in the future. This was  stated by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau during his official  visit to Armenia.

ArmInfo.French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron, who arrived in Yerevan yesterday to attend the 17th Summit of the heads of the Francophone  countries, visited Tsitsernakaberd on October 11, where they laid  flowers at the Memorial to the victims of the Armenian Genocide.

ArmInfo. Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono visited the memorial complex of the victims of the Armenian Genocide Tsitsernakaberd.

ArmInfo. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan expressed gratitude to the European Parliament for pro-Armenian activities, especially on such issues as the Armenian Genocide and the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, during the meeting with the European Parliament member and member of the Foreign Relations Committee Martin Sonneborn.

ArmInfo. US Congressman Ted Lieu urged US President Donald Trump to recognize the Armenian Genocide, he wrote in his Twitter reacting to Trump's decision to increase tax  duties on import of aluminum and still from Turkey. 

ArmInfo.Armenia establishes a visa-free regime for citizens of Canada, Lebanon, Turkmenistan and Albania. The corresponding draft decision is included in the agenda of the meeting of the Armenian government on June 28.

Turkologist, Dean of Oriental Studies Faculty of Yerevan State University,  Professor Ruben Melkonyan in an interview to ArmInfo comments on the results of presidential elections in Turkey, talks about their  possible  influence on Turkish regional policy, its relations with USA, the other allies in NATO, as well as with Israel and Armenia.

ArmInfo. Chairman of Meretz, MP Tamar Zandberg withdrew her bill on recognition of the Armenian Genocide, which was planned to be discussed at the Knesset plenary meeting today, June 26.

ArmInfo. Armenians were killed in their own lullaby, on the territory where they lived for hundreds of years. The Turkish scientist announced this on June 19 in Yerevan  and historian Taner Akcam at the presentation of his book "Forcible Islamization of Armenians" translated into Armenian.
