The Union of Armenians of Russia (UAR) has disseminated a statement where it says that supporting the stand of President Vladimir Putin, the Union calls on the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs to condemn the aggressor and exert pressure on Baku to make it stop the militarist policy that will destabilize the situation not only in the Karabakh conflict zone but also in the region.
The Union calls everyone to put aside their discrepancies, rally around the flag and support the actions of the country’s leadership. The Union calls on Diaspora Armenians not to panic and not to yield to provocations, but use all possible ways to support their compatriots whose security is endangered now. “The Union calls on the Azerbaijani public to express their civil stand and condemn the actions of their leadership that is ready to sacrifice hundreds of lives to retain its grip on power with the help of Turkey,” the Union says in the statement. The Armed Forces of Azerbaijan launched aggressive military attacks along the Line of Contact on April 2 using rocket artillery and armored vehicles and air force. Heavy fighting continues.
