Law regulates the rights of both the organizers of rallies and the police, Vladimir Gasparyan, Armenia's Police Head, said at an operative meeting on Nov 30.
The meeting was dedicated to the upcoming rallies of New Armenia Front of Public Salvation. The Police head charged police officers to meet with representatives of New Armenia Front and inform them of the laws regulating the political field. In case of public disorders, Vladimir Gasparyan charged the Police to act within the law. "Armenia is too small a country and can't stand public disorders," he said and recommended the New Armenia representatives not to force their adventurism on the people.
To recall, on November 26 Zhirayr Sefilyan, the head of the New Armenia Front's campaign headquarters, said the Front will start round-the-clock actions of protest in Liberty Square against the Constitutional amendments. The constitutional referendum campaign kicked off on October 10. The referendum is scheduled for December 6.
