Russian State Duma member Boris Reznik told journalists in Gyumri today that he did not rule out that serviceman of the Russian military base accused of killing Avetisyan family maybe handed over to the Armenian justice.
"Those are legal matters that must be decided by the lawyers of two states. They are working closely. I am confident that all laws will be studied, and the only legal verdict will be passed. Permyakov maybe handed over to the Armenian side, or not. Everything will be done within the law, he said.
To note, the Russian parliamentary delegation visited Gyumri and laid a wreath to the grave of the Avetisyans family murdered by a serviceman of the Russian military base deployed in Gyumri, Valeriy Permyakov.
Earlier the Russian party said that it cannot hand over Permyakov to the Armenian party, as the Russian legislation forbids that. Such a statement caused indignation of the Armenian society.
