During an April 25 round table in Yerevan Head of Caucasus Institute Alexander Iskandaryan has said that the process of the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide is to be expanded for there is no other way of affecting Turkey and its denial policy.
Turkey keeps denying the Armenian Genocide that has been recognized by 44 American states, 25 countries, the European Parliament, The World Council of Churches and other reputable international organizations.
"I believe that a lot in this process depends on Armenia's stance and policy in this international policy vector. Nowadays the international community is pursuing a policy regarding Turkey, a policy that most call "the carrot and the stick approach". I do not see any carrots here, and I believe the sticks to be rather frail", he said.
Iskandaryan has also noted that those who deny the Armenian Genocide are governed by unscientific principles and facts. In his estimations, after the centennial of the tragedy it is impossible to conduct any scientific discussions on the negation of the Genocide.
On April 24, 2015 the Armenian world commemorated a mournful date - the centennial of the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey that resulted in 1.5 million innocent victims.
