The armed group "Daredevils of Sasoun" that has seized the Police Patrol Service Regiment in Yerevan since July 17 has been supplied with food, the Police press- office reported on July 26.
The Police did not inform how and when the food was delivered to the armed loyalists of the jailed oppositionist Jirayr Sefilyan who demand his release and resignation of the Armenian president. Earlier, it was reported that the group has been left without food for about 60 hours and the Police prevented any attempts to provide them with food.
Nevertheless, the armed group declared earlier that early in the morning today, a citizen Artur Sargsyan loaded his personal car with foodstuffs and broke into the police cordon to deliver food to "Daredevils of Sasoun." The police fired at the car. Fortunately, the man was not wounded and even managed to deliver food to the armed group.
Meantime, there was skirmish between the Police and the armed group past night and two of the armed group members were wounded and hospitalized. The human rights defender's representatives have already visited them in hospital.
