ArmInfo. The Department of Information and Public Relations of the Office of the Prime Minister of Armenia responded to the statement of Primate of the Tavush Diocese, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, that senior members of the Civil Contract party are already sending them internal messages about how they can join their movement.
"It is absurd to raise this issue. It is regrettable to state the fact that lies and forgery have reached the archbishopric rank of the Armenian Apostolic Church," the office of the Prime Minister of Armenia said in response to a question from the "Armenpress" news agency.
On May 4, representatives of the "Tavush for the Motherland" movement, under the leadership of Primate of the Tavush Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, began a march from the Kirants village of Tavush to Yerevan. On May 9 they plan to arrive in the Armenian capital. They are protesting, in their words, "the illegal delimitation and surrender of Armenian lands."
