ArmInfo. 'Some countries, led by France, are throwing Armenia off course'. The head of the delegation of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey to the NATO PA, Mevlut Cavusoglu stated in Baku in a conversation with journalists, commenting on France's sale of weapons to Armenia.
According to him, Turkiye has repeatedly stated this to representatives of France. "They need to give up trying to support Armenia in other ways. Let them not forget that our beloved Azerbaijan is never left alone," Cavusoglu threatened.
In this vein, he recalled that, according to the Shushi Declaration "On allied relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Turkey," Turkey will provide Azerbaijan with all possible support. "Providing military support to Armenia as of today does not promise any benefit to either Armenia or the region. Instead, it is necessary to promote peace in the region," Cavusoglu said, adding that Ankara supports holding a bilateral meeting on the issue of Azerbaijani-Armenian relations.
Notably, Turkiye was a direct participant in Azerbaijan's military aggression against Artsakh in the fall of 2020. Apart from direct military aid, it is Turkiye that organized the transfer of mercenaries from the Middle East to the Artsakh zone of aggression.
