ArmInfo. The EU mission in Armenia is essentially turning into a NATO mission, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova stated at a weekly briefing this on April 3.
According to her, in order to demonstrate a certain demand for the bloc, the leaders of its member countries are whipping up anti-Russian hysteria, calling for preparations for a military conflict with Russia, and investing huge amounts of money in the military-industrial complex (MIC) against the backdrop of obvious economic problems.
"Only they are not investing money in the complex, they are calling on Armenia to invest in the military- industrial complex," she said, adding that those who were able to get away from this false promise, under the guise of which there was a real destruction of statehood, society and economy, those countries survived.
"Those who couldn't or didn't want to, such as Ukraine, collapsed," Zakharova added.
