ArmInfo. The Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov will continue negotiations on normalizing bilateral relations today in Berlin. Spokesperson of the Armenian Foreign Ministry Ani Badalyan informs.
She noted that "negotiations between Foreign Ministers of Armenia & Azerbaijan continued after the trilateral meeting with participation of German FM in Berlin." Discussions will continue on February 29, as planned, she added.
Badalyan noted that on February 28, "Trilateral meeting between FM of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan, FM of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov & FM of Germany Annalena Baerbock took place in Berlin, discussing issues of normalization process of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations.
Armenian FM thanked the German side for hosting the meeting & negotiations."
Before the trilateral meeting, Mirzoyan held a separate meeting with Annalena Baerbock.
Issues of regional security were discussed. The process of normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan was touched upon, as well as the course of discussions taking place on the same day in Berlin with the participation of the ministers of the two countries.
Mirzoyan presented to his counterpart Armenia's approaches to the key issues of resolving interstate relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, which are also reflected in the Statement adopted following the results of the quadripartite meeting held in Granada in October 2023. These approaches also concern the process of border delimitation based on the Alma-Ata Declaration of 1991 and the unblocking of regional infrastructures based on the sovereignty and jurisdiction of countries and the principles of reciprocity and equality.
