ArmInfo.Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that his country does not need intermediaries in the process of normalizing relations with Armenia.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, he said that a mediator was not needed in this matter. "I said this and I want to say it again from this high rostrum: we have resolved our problem," Aliyev said. In his opinion, this issue is artificially exaggerated. "The 'patrons of Armenia' constantly want to discuss this issue, make efforts, pull the blanket over themselves, to be intermediaries. I believe that the process of normalization of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations should be dropped from the international agenda. Because anyone seems to want to deal with this issue. Mind your own business! We have resolved our problem," the President of Azerbaijan emphasized, as quoted by Azerbajan media.
At the same time, Aliyev said that if Armenia continues its 'territorial claims' against Azerbaijan, then there will be no peace treaty with Yerevan. "If the territorial claims against us are not put to an end, if Armenia does not bring its legislation back to normal, then, naturally, there will be no peace treaty," the head of Azerbaijan noted.
