ArmInfo. The overwhelming majority of respondents in Yerevan are against the initiative of the Council of Elders of Yerevan to repeatedly increase parking fees in Yerevan. This is evidenced by the results of the survey "Tell, we'll do - we'll paint, we'll exact it", conducted by the MPG consulting company (Marketing Professional Group - the exclusive representative of the International GALLUP Association in Armenia).
Thus, when asked to express their attitude to the draft decision of the Yerevan City Council from January 1, 2024, to establish a parking fee on the "red lines" in the center of the capital at the rate of 160,000 drams per year, outside the center - 24,000 drams, 52.9% of respondents were categorically against , 16.1% - rather against, 13.1% - rather in favour, 13% - supported this proposal, another 4.9% found it difficult to answer.
At the same time, 54.9% of residents of the small center spoke out categorically against this initiative, 14.3% - rather against it, 15.4% - rather supported it, 13.2% - supported, 2.2% - found it difficult to answer. 59.2% of the surveyed drivers were against this initiative, 13.9% were rather against it, 11.9% were rather in favor, 12.9% were in favor of this initiative, 2% found it difficult to answer.
At the same time, in general, more than half of the respondents in Yerevan supported the decision of the Armenian government to impose a 10% income tax on individuals renting out housing from December 1.
Thus, 26.1% - completely support this decision, 25.9% - rather support it, 13.9% - rather do not support it, 31.9% - categorically do not support it, yet 2.3% found it difficult to answer.
At the same time, when asked to evaluate on a 5-point scale (5 - excellent, 1 - bad) the work of political forces in the Council of Elders of Yerevan, the highest rating was given to the "Public Voice" faction - 3.7 points, the ruling "Civil Contract" is in second place -3.2 points , National Progress is in third place - 3 points, and the "Republic" and "Mother Armenia" factions are in fourth place - 2.9 points.
The survey was conducted through telephone calls to residents of Yerevan during the period from December 13 to December 16 of this year. The sample size was 800 people, error 3.5%.
