ArmInfo. There has never been an option that would offer a solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh issue in the negotiation process for resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh problem, said Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.
"The Armenian government did everything to prevent the de-Armenization of Nagorno-Karabakh, in the sense that the idea of an exodus of people was constantly promoted, that people should leave there... We did everything to prevent this from happening," Pashinyan said, answering in an interview with Public on Armenian television when asked whether the Karabakh issue is closed.
Commenting on the statement of the Russian Foreign Ministry that the agreements of November 9 were not implemented mainly because of Armenia, Pashinyan replied: "That is, the tripartite statement of November 9 says that Azerbaijan should attack Nagorno-Karabakh, and Russian peacekeepers at this time should remain in shelters?".
When asked what Armenia is striving for at this stage, Pashinyan said: "We strive for (preservation of) the sovereignty of the Republic of Armenia, territorial integrity, independence, statehood and democracy."
