ArmInfo. One of the best scorers of Armenian football, Nikolai Ghazaryan, passed away at the age of 76. Information about the death of the football player was confirmed in the hospital, in the intensive care unit of which Ghazaryan was hospitalized on December 14 with a diagnosis of cardiopulmonary failure.
Nikolai Ghazaryan was born in 1947. Since 1969, he played for Yerevan "Ararat" in the USSR Group A football championship, then in the major league. Nikolai Ghazaryan was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR. Ghazaryan made 295 appearances in football matches, scoring 67 goals. He won silver medals in USSR championships during 1971-1976. In 1973, he was champion of USSR.
