ArmInfo. The allied ties between Moscow and Yerevan are now being tested for strength amid West's attempts to drive a wedge into relations between the fraternal peoples. This is stated in the address of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to the participants of the "Russia-Armenia" first public forum, held on December 15 in Moscow.
The address was read by Deputy Head of the Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation Mikhail Galuzin. "The allied ties between Moscow and Yerevan are being tested strength amid the West's attempts to drive a wedge into relations between our fraternal peoples. This initiative is becoming more valuable, designed to create conditions for searching for a unifying agenda, as well as to stimulate the emergence of new leaders of public opinion in Russia and Armenia," the minister noted.
Lavrov expressed confidence that as a result of the discussions, practical recommendations will be developed and useful contacts will be established.
