ArmInfo. The State Security Service of Azerbaijan confirmed the detention of Madat Babayan in the area of the Getavan village of occupied Karvachar (Kelbajar).
By tradition, the enemy side quickly came up with a story about his participation in hostilities in the early 1990s. Babayan is charged by the State Security Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan with "participation in hostilities in Ivanyan in February 1992 and the massacres of its residents."
Let us add that this is not the first such case. Hundreds of Armenian prisoners of war and civilians are being held in Baku prisons on trumped-up criminal cases. They are left to the mercy of fate, since both the Armenian authorities and international specialized institutions are indifferent to their fate, which is what the Aliyev regime takes advantage of.
