ArmInfo.By the end of this week, 66 thousand citizens will receive one-time assistance for urgent needs in the amount of 100 thousand drams for internally displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh, and 85-90 thousand by the end of next week, Armenia's Vice-Premier Tigran Khachatryan stated at a meeting of the Armenian government.
According to him, 100 thousand drams are paid to all internally displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh, regardless of age. The exception is those who are located outside the Republic of Armenia.
At the moment, assistance has been transferred to the card accounts of 52,600 people, tomorrow another 13,500 will receive it.
The process of paying one-time assistance started on October 6. The beneficiaries of this program are compatriots forcibly resettled from Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia after September 24. In order to benefit from assistance, it is very important that the person is registered in the database of the Migration and Citizenship Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia. Citizens who have not registered in, must go through the registration process at more than 60 humanitarian centers located in different communities of the Republic of Armenia, addresses can be found at https://irazekum.am/nkc.
Registered migrants who do not have bank cards should contact their preferred bank to receive a free card to which the assistance amount will be transferred. After submitting an application for card issue, the Central Bank will send the card number of the new card holder to the Unified Social Service for transferring financial support to it. Displaced persons with bank cards (including pension cards) will receive one-time support in the amount of 100,000 drams starting tomorrow. Persons over 75 years old, as well as disabled people of the 1st or 2nd group who do not have a bank card, can receive cash support at HayPost (through the postman, if necessary) on the basis of an identity document.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs reminds that every adult citizen must have his own current account to which the amount will be transferred. The funds due to minors will be transferred to the mother or legal representative by submitting an application on the online platform or by contacting the Unified Social Service. Persons who do not have an identity document should first contact the Migration and Citizenship Service (passport department) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where, after identifying them, they will be given a certificate, on the basis of which it will be possible to open a bank account and receive a support amount. Opening a card account is possible in all banks operating in Armenia, except for the banks of Mellat Bank CJSC and Fast Bank CJSC, which currently do not service cards of individuals. Clarifications on this and other issues will be available through the Ministry of Labor hotline (114).
According to the RA government, 100,632 forcibly displaced citizens have currently entered Armenia from Nagorno-Karabakh.
