According to Baghdasaryan, 91,918 displaced people have already registered, and more than 50% of those arriving have benefited from the housing provided by the state.
345 internally displaced persons are being treated in medical centers in Armenia. "Many of them are in serious and critical condition. There are 9 children in intensive care units, 2 of them have positive dynamics," she said. Baghdasaryan emphasized that currently medical care for forcibly displaced citizens of Nagorno-Karabakh is provided free of charge - within the framework of state orders.
Payment of one-time assistance for urgent needs in the amount of 100 thousand drams for internally displaced persons who have current accounts in Armenian banks will begin in the coming days. The rest will need to open them as soon as possible and submit data to the Unified Social Service. Banks will open accounts for free.
It was previously announced that from October 1, 40 thousand drams (about $100) per month per person will be allocated to cover the housing costs of each family forcedly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh, and another 10 thousand drams will be allocated to pay for utilities. The program will operate for at least 6 months and will cover all displaced citizens, regardless of age, with the exception of those in special centers and those who have real estate in Armenia. In addition, each internally displaced person will be given a one-time payment of 100 thousand drams (about $250).
