ArmInfo. The Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army refuted another misinformation by the Azerbaijani side.
According to the press service of the Defense Army, on September 1 this year, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan spread another misinformation that allegedly on that day from 11:15 a.m. to 11:36 a.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 1:58 p.m. the relevant units of the Ministry of Defense of Artsakh jammed the GPS systems of civilian aircrafts flying on the Paris-Beijing and Tel-Aviv-Baku routes through the airspace of Nagorno-Karabakh.
"The message of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan has nothing to do with reality. As we have repeatedly noted, the aircraft flying along the indicated routes do not cross the air borders of Artsakh. It is also noteworthy that not a single company or country operating the jammed aircraft has ever filed any complaints about it. Periodically spreading such false statements, Azerbaijan seeks to divert the attention of the international community from the humanitarian catastrophe caused by the illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor and prepare an information base for another provocation. Let us recall once again that throughout all the hostilities in 2020 and after them, it was the Azerbaijani side that consistently attacked the civilian infrastructure of the Republic of Artsakh, blocking the Lachin corridor, disrupting gas and electricity supplies, suppressing access to the Internet and mobile communications," the statement of Artsakh Defense Army reads.
