ArmInfo. The U.S. Department of State is urging the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan to "to reach the difficult compromises that are necessary to reach a full peace agreement," Matthew Miller, Spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State, told a press briefing.
"I will say, though, as we have said consistently, we do believe that a peace agreement is within reach. It's why we continue to engage both at the seniormost levels of this department and at subcabinet levels with leaders in Armenia and Azerbaijan to urge them to reach the difficult compromises that are necessary to reach a full peace agreement," he said.
As to the details of U.S. Special Advisor Louis L. Bono's trip to the region this week, Mr Miller said:
"Yes. I don't have any details of the trip to - of any trip to convey."
