ArmInfo. Passions around the Hayaqve initiative continue to heat up, Coordinator Avetik Chalabyan wrote in a Facebook post.

According to him, the official propagandists of the current government, seeing the growing wave of Hayaqve and its rapid spread throughout the country, were forced to take the last argument of the weak out of the closet, threatening the Armenian people with a new war on behalf of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

We could ignore this yet another provocation, but it will continue, so I would like to answer all the Turks who threaten our people with war. The war in 2020 began not because our people fought for the independence of Artsakh for decades, but because during this period of time Armenia was led by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, who failed the negotiation process, spoiled relations with our main allies, evaded preparing the country to the test, failed military mobilization, and after the start of the war, he thought not about victory, but about how to surrender Shushi. Actually, he confessed to this just recently, at a meeting of the commission of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia to investigate the circumstances of the war, trying to blame all the failures and defeats on others," Chalabyan noted.

He also noted that after the signing of the shameful agreement of November 9, 2020, which was supposed to stop the war, it did not stop for a minute. During this period, more than 400 Armenian soldiers were killed, Aliyev took Artsakh under blockade, came close to Jermuk, Sisian and Vardenis, took Kapan under direct fire and continues to make new demands to Armenia and Artsakh, regularly

threatening a new war. "Obviously, the only real way to resist  Aliyev's appetites is the militarization of our country, the formation of new diplomatic alliances on this basis, and tough opposition to Aliyev at every turn," the coordinator of the initiative emphasized.

Chalabyan also noted that after the re-election of Erdogan and the events in Russia, Aliyev no longer hides that he is preparing for a new aggression against Armenia and Artsakh, continuing to toughen his rhetoric. Aliyev is in a hurry, knowing full well that his time is running out: oil production in Azerbaijan is rapidly declining, a wave of dissatisfaction with the arbitrariness of the dictatorial government is beginning to rise in his own country, relations with Iran are deteriorating every day, the army leadership has started its own games with Turkey and Israel, leaving - under control. "Aliyev is well aware that Pashinyan's rule is his last chance to subject Armenia and Artsakh to final surrender, and he is trying to take advantage of this as quickly as possible, because in the near future such a chance may no longer be. Under these conditions, the current government, clearly realizing that Aliyev can embark on a new adventure and, thereby, finally expose his mediocre political path, is trying from the very beginning to find new perpetrators of the war outside of himself. If earlier it was "former", then the army, "5th column", now, when there is no one to "appoint the guilty", it turns out that the culprit of the war is Hayaqve, the initiative of which was supported by all factions of the National Assembly of Artsakh, many public figures, diplomats. Hayaqve, which is an exclusively peaceful, democratic process, only proposes to enshrine the main provisions of our Constitution in criminal law, and operates in accordance with the strict requirements of the legislation of our country and international law, and in no way can be the cause of war if the authorities themselves countries do not want to provoke such a new war. Hayaqve is really a great opportunity to communicate with hundreds and thousands of our fellow citizens in a short time, and everywhere I see new hope and determination that Hayaqve awakens to restore the suppressed dignity that is beginning to be restored in our people.  Naturally, for this government, which rules by fear and desperation, Hayaqve should cause horror, and they, having no other arguments, should threaten their own constituents with a new war. I am convinced that this threat will only have the opposite result: people will unite around their homeland, freedom and dignity, and with their voice will open a new page in the history of our country," wrote Avetik Chalabyan.
