Ambassador James O'Brien, Head of the Office of Sanctions Coordination, U.S. Department of State, during his visit to Armenia on June 29-30, will meet with high- ranking officials of Armenia, including the Prime Minister. According to the press service of the US Embassy in Armenia, he will discuss with the Prime Minister issues of cooperation within the framework of US sanctions and express gratitude to Armenia for its commitment to ensuring them. He will also visit the Armenian Genocide Memorial.
In recent weeks, a US official has said that some products from European companies, such as microcircuits and electronics, reach Russia in a roundabout way,where they are used for military production. Earlier O'Brien visited Tbilisi. "Our job is to prevent the Russian military from getting the equipment they use to kill people as part of their illegal invasion of Ukraine," Ambassador James O'Brien said at a press conference in Tbilisi.
