ArmInfo. Head of the RA NA faction Hayk Mamijanyan commented live on Facebook on Nikol Pashinyan's statements made at the meeting of the parliamentary Inquiry Committee for Studying the Circumstances of the Hostilities Unleashed on September 27, 2020 (44-day war).

<We must record that until the end of 2019, Pashinyan could not actually cope with the negotiation process (he was elected prime minister in May 2018, ed. note). And even now he can't cope. The lie voiced by him is much more dangerous>, the opposition MP said.

Mamijanyan began with "absurd" thoughts that voiced by the prime minister's lips about April 4-day war.  <I will never get tired of repeating that the lie that the world and the international community did not react to the April war is another manipulation. On April 5, 9 countries of the Minsk Group, including Turkey, issued a statement that clearly stated that the Karabakh problem cannot be resolved by force>, he said.

After the military victory in the April war, he continued, the Armenian side also recorded a number of very important diplomatic triumphs, in particular the agreements reached in Vienna and St.  Petersburg. We are talking about the establishment of a monitoring mission on the line of contact, which in practice would exclude the possibility of resuming hostilities, since it would expose the aggressor, the MP explained.  "These agreements were nullified by Nikol Pashinyan and his Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan," Mamijanyan said.

After that, Pashinyan declares that after the April war there could be no question of the right of peoples to self-determination, he noted. After the April war between the Republic of Armenia and the EU, the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement (SEPA) was signed, where this principle was clearly stated and which was ratified by all members of the Union, the parliamentarian said.  According to Mamijanyan, the Pashinyan government could not use this document, or, more likely, did not want to.

The next absurdity, according to the MP, concerned the rejection of the so-called intermediate status for Nagorno-Karabakh, which was an absolute lie.

He also considers manipulation of the prime minister's remark that in the 2000s, Armenia discussed with Azerbaijan the so-called concept of the exchange of territories, according to which the Republic of Armenia had to transfer Meghri in exchange for Nagorno-Karabakh. The representative "I have the honor" quoted the remarks of the 3rd President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, who was once quoted by ex- President Heydar Aliyev himself, noting: "Serzh Sargsyan told me that we would not give Meghri even in exchange for half of Azerbaijan."

Mamijanyan also referred to Pashinyan's assurances that no changes were made to the plan for the acquisition of weapons and military equipment under him. <He's lying when he says he didn't change the plan. Otherwise, where did about 2 thousand UAVs outlined in the procurement plan? Not to mention air defense systems>, the MP asks.
