ArmInfo. The problems of the Armenian fashion industry are numerous, but the main challenge is still the lack of specialists. Head of the Fashion and Design Chamber of Armenia, Designer Vahan Khachtaryan said, answering a question from an ArmInfo correspondent during a press conference on June 23.
At the same time, he noted that this is not about designers who are at the forefront of the industry, but about related professions. In this regard, the head of the Fashion and Design Chamber noted that there is an urgent need for professional PR specialists, professional sales specialists, journalists who would professionally cover this segment, etc.
Recalling that Fashion Week will start in Armenia for the first time from July 1-6, he stressed that it is important that in the Armenian environment the event is perceived not only as a platform for fashion shows and exhibitions, but also attracts the attention of young people in the context of choosing professions, which are very necessary today for full development of the sector.
