ArmInfo.All departments of Armenia, through various channels, are doing everything possible to resolve the situation in Artsakh as soon as possible and restore the normal movement of people, goods and medicines. Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia Anahit Avanesyan told journalists on June 22.
According to her, the humanitarian situation in Artsakh is deteriorating with every hour, the supplies, including medicines, are running out, the terms of planned medical care for those in dire need are being postponed. "We are working with our Artsakh partners on a daily basis, trying to use the available resources as accurately as possible, but we expect the situation to be resolved as soon as possible in order to gain access to patients in need of emergency care," Avanesyan said.
She added that according to the current situation, there are no condemned statements by international organizations on this issue, but there is a decision of the international court, which is subject to execution.
The minister stressed that despite the equipment of the hospital in Stepanakert and the availability of qualified personnel, there are nevertheless highly specialized services that patients in Artsakh need, and these services can be provided only in Yerevan.
