ArmInfo.Artsakh has been blockaded by Azerbaijan for 191 days, during which time the extremely limited movement of people and humanitarian supplies has been organized exclusively by the Red Cross and peacekeepers, Artak Beglaryan, Adviser to the President of Nagorno-Karabakh, has stated.
In this vein, he drew attention to the fact that for successive 6 days, 120,000 residents of Artsakh have been in complete isolation and siege, without any supply and movement even from the Red Cross and peacekeepers.
"The attached photos show how, in recent days, Azerbaijani armored vehicles blocked the only Artsakh- Armenia road near their illegal checkpoint.
Artsakh is rapidly slipping into the abyss of a security crisis and a humanitarian catastrophe, and all states must take their share of responsibility and prevent the impending tragedy, and not shift responsibility on each other.
We expect the most urgent and effective steps from Armenia, Russia, the United States, France, the European Union, the UN and all other actors, and great pressure on everyone from the Armenians of the whole world," Beglaryan summed up.
