ArmInfo.An Armenian parliamentary delegation led by Head of the Armenia-USA Friendship Group and Head of the NA Civil Contract faction Hayk Konjoryan, who is on a working visit to Washington, participated in a panel discussion at the Atlantic Council. The discussion was organized jointly with the International Republican Institute (IRI).
Participating in the discussion were Armenia's Ambassador to the USA Lilit Makunts, Mr John E. Herbst, a senior director of the Atlantic Council's Eurasia Center, IRI President Daniel Twining, Mr Stephen Nix, IRI regional program director for Eurasia
At the Carnegie Foundation, the Armenian delegation held meetings with Mr Eugene Rumer, senior fellow and director of Carnegie's Russia and Eurasia Program, and Mr Paul Stronski, senior fellow and the director of Carnegie's Russia and Eurasia Program.
The Armenian delegation presented the current security situation round Armenia and emphasized the Azerbaijani blockade of the Lachin corridor and regular provocations by Azerbaijan.
The sides also discussed the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace process and regional problems.
