ArmInfo.April 22 is celebrated as Earth Day around the world.  Adhering to its environmental protection policy, Team Telecom Armenia summed up the results of the programs implemented in this direction, the Company's  Public Relations Service said in a statement.

According to the source, Earth Day brings together millions of people  around the world to find solutions and take action to protect nature  and keep the planet clean. This year it is celebrated under the motto  "Invest in our planet". Being an environmentally responsible company,  Team has been making the transition to energy efficient solutions for  several years, using solar energy to power communications and reduce  greenhouse gas emissions. The Company's fleet continues to be  equipped with electric vehicles. In 2022, 98% of vehicles purchased  were electric vehicles with quiet engines and zero emissions.   Presenting the environmental activities of the Company, Director of  Team Telecom Armenia Hayk Yesayan noted that each company should  implement resource-saving measures and minimizes possible  environmental pollution caused by its activities. He emphasized that  this direction is of priority importance in the development of the  Company's strategic plans.

Team has introduced the concept of circularity, aimed at eliminating  digital garbage. The Company repairs and reuses communication devices  instead of sending them to landfills. Reuse and recycling has also  significantly reduced the Company's waste as well as the amount of  paper used, in addition, E-sim and E-pen technologies have been  introduced at points of sale.  Today, Team Telecom Armenia is holding  an environmental Entertainment Contest in some sales and service  centers, the participants of which will receive gifts. Earth Day was first celebrated on April 22, 1970. Team Telecom  Armenia provides Internet, digital television, mobile and fixed  communication services in Armenia. Since 2021, the company has begun  construction of a unique NGN (Next Generation Network) network in the  region with a speed of 25 Gbps using 25GPON technology. In the near  future, mobile stations operating throughout Armenia will be  connected to this network, thanks to which the quality of mobile  communication will improve significantly.
