ArmInfo. The "Reborn Armenia" party, which is part of the "Hayastan" bloc, led by the second president of the republic Robert Kocharyan, ceases its activities in the RA National Assembly.
Three of the 4 MPs of the party, Vahe Hakobyan (head of the party), Hripsime Stambulyan (deputy head) and Elena Kirakosyan, in accordance with the procedure established by law, submitted an application for resignation. The fourth member of the party, Zemfira Mirzoyeva, who represents the Assyrian community, will continue her work in parliament, temporarily freezing her membership in the party. "The decision of the Party Council is primarily due to respect for the national minorities of the Republic of Armenia and aims in no way to impede consistency in raising and solving the problems of national minorities, which is an important part of Zemfira Mirzoyeva's activities," the party statement says.
It is also noted that those party members who are represented in the alliance's electoral list can take a mandate. However, in this case, they will have to leave the ranks of the party.

It is worth reminding that following the results of the early parliamentary elections on June 20, 2021, the party of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan "Civil Contract" received 54% of the vote and 71 seats in the country's parliament. The "Hayastan" (Armenia) opposition alliance took the second place with 29 seats, while the "I have the honor" alliance got 7 seats. Earlier, representatives of the "Hayastan" faction Artur Ghazinyan, Mkhitar Zakaryan, Aram Vardevanyan resigned from their parliamentary seats.
