ArmInfo.Secretary of the RA Security Council Armen Grigoryan met with the delegation led by President of the National Assembly of Nagorno-Karabakh Artur Tovmasyan in Yerevan.
According to the press service of the RA Security Council, the delegation also included RA Foreign Minister David Babayan, RA Presidential Advisor Masis Mailyan, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Artsakh in Armenia Sergey Ghazaryan and Chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Relations of the National Assembly Vahram Balayan.
At the meeting, Armen Grigoryan presented the details of the ongoing negotiation process in all areas, then the parties exchanged views and presented assessments regarding the security situation that has been developed around Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.
It should be reminded that the working delegation headed by President of the Republic of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan arrived in Yerevan earlier this week to discuss the situation around Artsakh and the Republic of Armenia with the Armenian authorities. The main purpose of the visit is to discuss the plan for 2022, the quadripartite Prague Declaration of October 6, according to which Armenia and Azerbaijan reaffirmed their commitment to recognize each other's territorial integrity and sovereignty. The Artsakh delegation includes President of the National Assembly of Artsakh Artur Tovmasyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs David Babayan, Chairman of the Artsakh Foreign Relations Committee Vahram Balayan and Advisor to the President of Artsakh Masis Mailyan.
The visit was initiated after mass protests in Stepanakert on Renaissance Square (October 8-9), during which calls were made for the Armenian authorities to stop the anti-national policy leading to the recognition of the Republic of Artsakh (NKR) as part of Azerbaijan.
We also add that yesterday, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan. According to some Armenian media reports, Pashinyan did not receive the delegation from Artsakh with its full composition. Moreover, it is noted that Harutyunyan waited 4 days for the reception of the RA Prime Minister.
