ArmInfo.Yerevan is actively working in all areas necessary to ensure the security of Armenia. RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this on September 30 in an interview with the Public TV Company, answering the question of what measures are being taken to ensure that the calls of international partners for peace and dialogue become practical.
In particular, referring to the mission of observers of the French Ministry of Defense, he explained that it would be called upon to assess the security situation on the spot for the purposes of further analysis.
At the same time, as the prime minister specified, when Yerevan voices about international observers, it means a mission on a solid or permanent basis, one of the main goals of which will be the transfer of objective information to the relevant bodies, followed by adequate actions. This is due to the fact that every time the Azerbaijani Armed Forces commit aggression against Armenia, they justify their actions by retaliatory measures against alleged provocations from Armenia. "We say the following: since this happens regularly, it will be right if the international community has a long-term or permanent mission to collect impartial information about what is happening on the border, after which specific actions can follow," Pashinyan said.
At the same time, according to Pashinyan, he continues to insist on the imperative of advancing the peace agenda. "The purpose of Azerbaijani provocations is to torpedo the peace process," he said, adding that the need to establish a peaceful era increases each time with a new escalation of the situation.
