ArmInfo. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on his official Twitter page published a photo of Nuri Pasha, a participant in the massacre of Armenians in Baku in 1918 and the war of Azerbaijan against Armenia in 1918-1920, with the following commentary on the photo:
"Congratulations on the anniversary of the liberation of Baku - the capital of Azerbaijan, which is our friend, brother, an integral part of us. And now, as before, we will be next to our Azerbaijani brothers in their just struggle."
Reading these comments, one involuntarily recalls the statement of the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, made no later than August 27 of this year, where he assures that Yerevan received some positive signals from Turkey to establish peace in the region.
"Returning to the agenda for establishing peace in the region, I should say that we have received some positive public signals from Turkey. We will consider these signals, and we will also respond to them with positive ones," the Armenian Prime Minister said.
However, this cautious optimism of the Prime Minister of Armenia, with his infamous agenda of the so- called "peace era", does not correspond in any way to the real intentions of the Azerbaijani-Turkish tandem. This is evidenced not only by this comment of the Turkish President, but also by another large-scale aggression of Azerbaijan against the sovereign territories of Armenia, and Turkey's unconditional support for these actions. It is worth adding that this is not the first, not the second, and not even the third aggression against Armenia and Artsakh during these notorious two years of building Pashinyan's "era of peace", after the signing of the infamous tripartite statement of November 9, 2020.
The message of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), circulated in telegram channels, also testifies that Turkey is mobilizing 45,000 soldiers from the reserve in the direction of the border with Armenia.
This is evidenced by yesterday's statement by Armenia's Permanent Representative to the UN Mher Margaryan that the enemy is accumulating forces and preparing for an attack in the direction of Nakhijevan.
What is happening in recent days only shows that the "peace agenda" does not work, and the Azerbaijani- Turkish tandem is trying to gain a corridor through the Syunik region of Armenia, capturing its sovereign territories.
And all this is happening against the backdrop of the tacit encouragement of the international community, which is doing nothing but toothless and unaddressed ceasefire statements to the parties.
